Salmonella Outbreak Linked to Moringa Leaf Powder
A multistate outbreak of Salmonella Richmond infections was linked to contaminated moringa leaf powder products. The outbreak involved 11 people from 7 states, with 3 hospitalizations but no deaths. A single lot of moringa leaf powder from Vallon Farmdirect PVT LTD in India was identified as the source. Several products were recalled, including Food to Live Organic Moringa Leaf Powder, Organic SuperGreens Powder mix, Africa Imports Organic Moringa Powder, and Member's Mark Super Greens Powdered Supplements.
