What Public Health Trace monitors
Alerts are generated from the same official sources the rest of the site uses: FDA recall data, USDA FSIS recalls, and CDC's National Outbreak Reporting System. Public Health Trace does not independently verify these sources and does not guarantee real-time notification — there can be a delay between when a source publishes something and when Public Health Trace's alert processor detects and emails it.
Public Health Trace's email alerts are a convenience layer over public data and are not a substitute for official recall notices, health department communications, or medical advice. If you believe you're experiencing a foodborne illness, contact a healthcare provider.
Privacy
Public Health Trace only stores the email address you provide, your alert preferences, and delivery history. No health information, location, or demographic data is collected. You can unsubscribe from any alert email with one click, with no login required.
