As of October 8, 2026, 4,080 confirmed measles cases were reported in the United States in 2026. Among these, 4,062 cases were reported by 47 jurisdictions. A total of 18 measles cases were reported among international visitors to the United States. There have been 42 new outbreaks reported in 2026, and 96% of confirmed cases (3,897 of 4,080) are outbreak-associated. For the full year of 2025, a total of 2,289 confirmed measles cases were reported in the United States. There were 48 outbreaks reported in 2025, and 90% of confirmed cases (2,066 of 2,289) were outbreak-associated.
