Salmonella Outbreak Linked to Shell Eggs

On July 22, 2026, Midwest Poultry Services, L.P. recalled 1,589,577 dozen shell eggs due to possible Salmonella contamination. The recalled eggs were sold under multiple brand names including Kroger, Simple Truth, Brookshire's, Cal-Maine, and Country Morning, and were distributed in Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Mississippi, and New Mexico. Consumers and businesses are advised to not consume or sell the recalled eggs, and to wash surfaces that may have come in contact with them.
